Most packages include a professional DJ, speakers, lights, microphone, and setup/breakdown time. We also offer extras like fog machines, wireless mics, and live artist sets.
Absolutely! We love working with your vibe. Send us your playlist or must-play songs beforehand, and we’ll mix it in seamlessly.
For most parties and standard events, we typically need around 1 to 2 hours to set up – 2 hours is usually our sweet spot to make sure everything runs smoothly. For weddings and larger, more detailed events, we arrive early in the morning to begin setup. This gives us enough time to test everything, resolve any potential issues, and ensure that by the time guests arrive, we’re not just ready — we’ve already been ready for hours. You won’t even notice us, just great sound and a stress-free vibe.
We don’t work with refundable deposits — instead, we charge a non-refundable 50% retainer fee to secure your booking. This retainer is calculated as 50% of your total quoted or invoiced amount and confirms your date with Prism Sound Events. Without this retainer, we unfortunately can’t lock in your booking. The remaining 50% is payable five days before the event. Everything is clearly outlined in our invoice so there are no surprises.
Most venues we work with have their own backup power solutions, which usually cover us too. We don’t include backup power as standard, but if you’re concerned, we can provide a generator or backup system — just note it comes at an additional cost and needs to be arranged in advance. For larger events, we do recommend planning for backup power just in case. But for smaller parties, it often isn’t worth the high cost for something that might not even happen.
Yes! We often collaborate with artists and can handle mic setups, monitors, and sound mixing for performances.
